Encore provides programming for individuals with a wide range of cognitive and physical challenges with an emphasis on Memory Care. It is created for those with moderate to late stages of memory loss.

Encore Approach

The Encore programming approach is slower-paced in a safe, engaging, and personalized environment to serve an individual’s specific needs. With patient encouragement, we tailor an approach to enhance a person’s own abilities to retain their independence and perform tasks. This allows our caring staff to provide partial or total assistance for those who are not independent with their activities of daily living or ambulation, or for those individuals whose needs may change.

Encore Activities

Programming consists of themed activities in the areas of Art, Media, Music, and Cooking. Specialized activities allow for creativity, self expression, memory recognition, memory building, and memory retention. These elements assist participants to converse, socialize and stay in the present with meaningful interactions within a small group setting. Daily enrichment includes time to socialize, discuss current events, de-stress, and be involved in physical activities.

Encore Work

Encore offers a work-life component which allows individuals to take part in rewarding opportunities. Tasks are performed in a small group setting with a focus on flexibility, comfort, and routine. Encore aspires to keep individuals calm, engaged, and active, yet is flexible to the specific needs of an individual on any particular day. Encore work initiatives add satisfaction to ensure one’s life is as fulfilling as it can be at any stage of memory loss.

Encore Staff

Encore employees receive numerous annual trainings on safety, behavior management, and emergency services. Specialized education to serve those with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease is conducted by the Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
